The 6th Caribbean Youth Leaders’ Summit ‘PROMOTING YOUTH ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT – BUILDING SYNERGIES TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE CARIBBEAN DEVELOPMENT’ will provide a unique opportunity for youth, youth development practitioners, youth serving agencies, academics and policy makers to work collaboratively towards crafting a youth-centered action and advocacy agenda on social protection for youth, decent work and economic empowerment opportunities for Caribbean young people. The summit will also explore the development of a framework for active youth participation and accentuate the role of young people as strategic development partners in creating sustainable solutions to development challenges, especially through; digitalization and technological innovation, and active participation in the labor market.
The main objectives of the summit are in consistent with UN SDG Goal 8: “Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.”
The 6th Caribbean Youth Leaders’ Summit is set to place in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago from 19th-23rd November, 2019.
